Aisling Bea
Aisling was born March 16, 1984, in Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and well-known comedians. Bea has appeared on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16 March, 1984) is a stand-up comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea started her stand-up career in the year 2011, following appearances in small parts on several Irish TV shows as well as British series from 2009. Following 2012, she was appearing in sketch comedy shows or sitcoms as well as other similar programming. She began appearing regularly in panel shows following her win of an award for in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. In 2016 through 2017, she was a team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats as well as a frequent participant for the spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Born to Brian O'Sullivan and his wife, she is the mother of one sibling named Sinead. In 2012 she was the only woman to be awarded the So You Think You Are Funny award. Bea was given to her to honor her father. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian was a veterinarian for horses who committed suicide at three-years-old. She was not aware of the cause for her father's death until 13 years later. The stage name she chose was Bea to pay tribute to her late father. Bea also wrote an article for The Guardian on her family's death experience. Bea was fostered by her younger sister Sinead with Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer as well as a former professional racer. The family was awed by horses, races and racing. Bea had a job as a tour guide in the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she did not want to pursue racing as a career. Instead she loved the performing arts.
